Qualifying Questions to ask your Customer

To assist in identifying the category that best reflects where a potential customer is on their virtual collaboration journey, we have developed a set of questions to ask your customers. Hover over each question for additional details or click on it to see the toolkit for that stage:

1. Is your company operating in a traditional collaboration environment?

By this, I am referring to an environment where your employees:
- Rely on their desk phones for phone calls
- DO NOT use internal peer to peer PC calling
- Do not use or rarely use mobile technology
- DO NOT use IM/Presence applications
If your customer fits this scenario, they fall into Stage 1

2. Is your organization or parts of your organization beginning to use some collaborative tools?

By this, I am referring to an environment where your employees:
- Rely on their desk phones for phone calls
- DO NOT use internal peer to peer PC calling
- Regularly use mobile technology
- Are frequently involved with conference calls (3 or more people)
- DO NOT use IM/Presence applications
If your customer fits this scenario, they fall into Stage 2

3. Are your employees showing an increasing dependence on collaborative tools?

By this, I am referring to an environment where your employees:
- Are piloting, or beginning to use peer to peer PC calling
- Regularly use mobile technology
- Are frequently involved with conference calls (3 or more people)
- Sometimes or regularly use IM/Presence applications
If your customer fits this scenario, they fall into Stage 3

4. Has your IT department recently deployed a Unified Communications (UC) system?

By this, I am referring to an environment where your employees:
- Company has deployed a UC application broadly
- Employees manage both internal peer to peer and outbound calls through their UC application
- Employees regularly use mobile technology
- Employees are frequently involved with conference calls (3 or more people)
- Employees regularly use IM/Presence applications
If your customer fits this scenario, they fall into Stage 4

5. Has your company seen mass adoption by employees of the UC system?

By this, I am referring to an environment where your employees:
- Company has deployed a UC application broadly and employees fully embrace and completely rely on the UC system to get their work done.
